Hi
Drilled mine out you need a decent drill bit by the way. It can be refitted with a self tapper but you probably won't want to bother

Can't you just stick a nut and bolt in the hole if you want to put it back on?

Started with a small bit that just fitted inside the rivet then went up a size to release it easy peasy just drill fairly slowly

I use a nice stainless steel nut and bolt with a spring washer holding mine in. Beware though, there are a bit tougher to get out than you may imagine. Once you've drilled the rivet, stick a broom handle into the baffle and give it a good wiggle to get it out. Do not be tempted to pull it out with pliers or grips as they make a right mess of the baffle and it'll not look good when you stick it back.

think i used a 4mm drill bit to pop rivet out. took mine out 5 years ago and the only time it ever went back in is mot time. was tough to get out and dosent slip back in all the way but if you make sure the can is nice and hot should go in better. i used a broom handle i think to knock it out from the other end the first time i removed it.
