Default Poor expressions!

As people seem to be having a moan at things today I'd like to have my own:

poor language and exression!

I don't necessarily mean text speak because that's just lazy. I mean expressions like
'my bad'
'for the win'
any sentence that starts 'so...'
any advertisment that starts 'here I have a ..... for sale' (it's not an auction!

I'm sure there are many more that I can't bring to mind right now.

I used to berate my children for starting a conversation with a question. Especially with "Do you know?" when they wanted to state a fact.

We're not allowed to beat them any more, sadly.

Just modern lexicon, that's all. You'd be amazed with some of the new words/new uses for words I've heard. Just brilliant.

Translate this:
"That gash is butters man, I'd need bare p's or bare bevs to get on that"

Absolutely. An expression I hear over and over on the Apprentice( I don't watch, I have to hear it, which is quite enough)

And....at the end of the day. By whose day? Today, tomorrow?

Gah, Miss Messie, beat them anyway

I know, I know. I'm just being grumpy I suppose. In fact I do believe in progress and things moving forwards; our language would be pretty useless if it didn't grow and keep up with the changes.

Just makes me feel old harumph!
