Default Buying my first big bike

how doo,

right, ive finally managed to book my test for the 2nd time for september (only double slot available, extended test)

failed first time round on my mod 2 for going too slow! cant remember the situation now but hey ho, rarther embarrasing. My excuse is it was on a 125 at the time.

anyway, moving on, im 21 so no restriction for me!

options, its narrowed down to two bikes, sv650 or fazer.

now, being 6'3 and 15stone, the fazer seems the better option as its taller.

ive sat on a pointy and got to be honest, i wasnt too comfy on it, whether it was the jeans i had on that didnt help...

are the nakeds any taller or have a more upright position?

id much rarther have an sv as its cheaper! and ive got you lovely lot to come to when i decide to mod it etc!

but the fazer, more expensive but rightly so no?

would love opinions from you all

scott

depends on if your buying new or SH. go have a look at a triumph street triple seems most people end up with one these days so they must be good.

I'm 6'1 and I've converted my Pointy S to the naked riding position, it's lovely and comfortable apart from the seat which is like a plank after an hour or so, proably due to the fact I'm 17 odd stone these days. The guy I bought the bike off is 6'4 ish and he was fine, but he was 21 and a lot more flexible.

I've ridden Fazers and there's nothing wrong with them, quick motor, not bad handling and much faster than the SV, but there's something a bit "meh" about them, Fazer, Bandit, Hornet, they're all a bit like that, I just like the SV cos it's a wee bit different. The noise of my SV on full chat still gives me tingles.
