I noticed earlier this week that the coolant level on my bike was at the minimum level, I only had it serviced 2 weeks ago (250 miles since)
I rang the dealer who did it and asked them about whether they had topped it up, and they said they don't if when the bike is warm/hot the level is between the two markers. Is this right? I know they allow for expansion but surely the coolant should be topped up to maximum on the service? |

mine is the same sitting at the low level mark. i wouldn't worry about it as the system is still full. i would only start to worry if there was no fluid in the expansion bottle.

The coolant in the bottle is only there so the bike can draw from it or overflow into it if required. Its perfectly fine to run the bike without any in that bottle. The rad level is the most important. On a race bike you run without that bottle, but are checking the rad level more frequently.
