Hi all,
I had my first major major off last weekend. Seems like the bike and myself came off pretty lightly with a few cracks and scrapes to the bike and a just road rash for myself! The bike is a K5 SV650 in YC2 (Grand Candy Blue) The parts I would like to replace are Nose Fairing Front Mudguard Fuel Tank Pillion Grab Rail Pillion Seat If you have any of these parts available please let me know as I would love to get my bike back to its former glory! Thanks. |

Post pics of the damage to your bits - some advice on whats repairable may be just as good as replacing.

Many of those parts will be a pain to find in mint condition. It may well end up cheaper and easier to repair your bits. Scratch doctors aren't too expensive. Post some pics of the damage and I'm sure someone will tell you if it's an easy fix.
If you decide you definitely want new, I'm sure someone may want to buy your bits to fix up themselves. Regards Phil |

Hi Phil,
The nose fairing took the brunt of the damage. It's got a small crack and scratches which i know could be fixed but it also has been distorted in shape. Would this be the brackets being bent in which case I could fix easily or could the plastic fairing itself be distorted, in which case is that repairable? Thanks, James |

It's likely to be the front subframe (£50 eBay) that is bent and the fairing will just fall back into shape.
Regards Phil |
