Default speed four idle issue

Hello there folks,

I’ve got a bit of an issue with my speedy. I balanced the throttle bodies the other week and since then there has been an issue with idling. I had to trim the other throttle bodies down to the “master” throttle body and the bike was running really smoothly. It still does but it doesn’t seem to idle properly. It finds the idle point nicely but once its warm it “dips” below a smooth idle. Ive checked the hoses and they are all ok. The stepper is running at 35 steps. This is ok. Co2 seems ok, tps reset ok. The bike runs really really well once its going and it doesn’t stall unless I don’t give it enough gass on take off. I would just like to smooth it out so I can feather the clutch a little without gas like I used to. Im wondering if the best option is to up the target rev limit?

No, the target revs is just that, if the bike can't keep to that then something else is amiss, as the problem started after you balanced the throttles I'd first recheck that.
As you will have found out the process with a Sagem equipped Triumph is a little more complicated than most bikes - due to the butterflies shutting and the use of the idle bypass, a number of similarly equipped Triumphs have to be set 'wrong' to work right.

hmm. all balanced together but the levels were lower than when they were all different (before balancing) you cant adjust the front throttle body up just the others down to match it. Any sugestions?

still having issues with this.

i set the idle on the map to 2500 and balanced the throttle bodies again. infact several times. all within 2mm of mercury at a maximum. it runs really smooth and nice. However on idle (now set at 1300) it struggles to get to this figure and sits at about 1200. its not right. Im wondering if its because of the air idle valve and this is "compensating" for the adjustments at the fast idle? should i be holding the throttle open instead of adjusting the map target value?

please help its really ****ing me off.

Nope that would mean failure. Hg isn't an issue.

Are you sure the IACV/stepper is working? The one on my S3 was clogged up with dirt so it did not to open properly, causing dodgy idling.

If not tyre pressures maybe the tyres need some back to black...
