Default what are the best/ most worth mods for a minitwin out of these?

Is it worth changing up to a full Hindle/M4 exhaust from a high level link pipe and renagade can. Also is changing the cams to pointy ones any good/required upgrade.
Any other suggestions for worthwhile upgrades would be magic.

Default Re: what are the best/ most worth mods for a minitwin out of these?

I have two carbed sv 650 both run full HINDLE HI LEVEL one is 1999 the other 2000
Again one has the cam swap done and the other standard cams both are running standard air filters and cr9ek plugs the cam swap motor was dyno'd at 75.84bhp the other on the same dyno at 71.32bhp
the torque figures are somthing else with the cam swap only producing 46.07ft lbs and the other a wapping 74.41ft lbs.again results vary on bikes and dynos but these were done on the same dyno. and yes we have the print outs. I suppose it it what suits your style of riding best thing abouit the Hindle really is the staggering weight reduction over a standard system. Best way forward where we went first was weight reduction [increased power to weight staraight away] followed by handling/suspension set up [
correct gearing helps tallest gears are not always the way forward we have found sacrifice a little top end and you accelerate to your terminal speed quicker holding it for longer rather than still accelerating when you have to scrubb it back off to corner.
A bit long winded no doubt others have their fave ways but this is what works currently for us Hope it helped.

Looks like I'll have to give the cams a miss as I'll be way over power. But the exhaust looks to be a safe bet for next mod thanks for that info. But other people who have done mods and had it dyno at a meet would be good as well. Mine came up a poor 63bhp work to be done.

74ft/lb torque from an SV650...blimey!!!

Do the cam swop and jet it to suit, have done lots of these for customers and brings the older curvy upto the minitwins hp limit on a par with the injected bikes. On our dyno which reads around the same as the bemsee control dyno they make about 71.5bhp with a decent system and cam swop. If its a dynojet dyno id expect a higher figure but if your running with bemsee then it will be within the limit on their dyno which is what counts.
