Default Lowest seat height - Pointy or Curvy?

Hi all,

I am looking at an svelte as my first. Ig bike. However I am only 5ft5 with a 29" inside leg. The views on the web seem to conflict over which model is better for short arses. Anyone owned both and can advise please?

I will be poppIng lowering links on either way.

Cheers

Well, my 2000 SV650 Naked is pretty low, me being 6ft1 though My legs are bent with feet on the ground. You'd be fine I reakon.

Just go round a dealership or garage that have one and ask to have a sit, best option IMO.

avoid k3's (2003) higher seat
nakeds are lower than s models or seem it anyway
there are some proper midgets on here who hoff about without issue, 2 main mods if required are lowered seat and longer dogbones

Well, the SV can have a scooped seat and have longer links put on the rear shock lowering it, both aftermarket options but the seat on the SV is not adjustable like on some other bikes. One of our members had a very lowered SV. She was i think (Dont kill me Kate) 5'3" ish and she was fine. You can always make a bike fit you. I dont have this issue. Im 6'2" so have the opposite problem.

I have fitted a lowered seat and lowering dog bones (40mm) to my wifes curvy S she is 5'2" just, she finds it ok at that but also has Daytona lady star boots that are built up inside.

i'm 5ft feck all with an inside leg of 25'' and can just tippytoe on a standard K5 onwards so with a 29'' inside then all you would require is a lowred or scooped seat.

you really don't want to know how to get it so low you could flat foot with bent knees.

Had end of year review today, 6k bonus in march so will have 2.5k to spend in march, what sort of fully faired pointy can I reasonably expect for that money please?

Cheers
