Hello,
While I was trying to check my valve clearance, I snapped the head of the torx bolt so had to remove it using vice grips. Now I need to buy this and can not find it on ebay, is there a website apart from stealer which has all parts and bolts in the UK ? or is my only option stealer? Also when checking the clearance the inlet was 0.15 and exhaust 0.20 according to UK Haynes manual, the inlet should be between 0.10 and 0.20 and exhaust between 0.20 to 0.30, is that correct ? isn't that gap to wide? |

What Torx bolt, where is it? Are you referring to the 10mm hexagon recess aluminium plug in the side of the alternator case, or the 8mm hexagon steel recess plug in the top?
'Stealers' should give away parts for free - they don't deserve to get paid.

I think it would be the 8mm hexagon as pictured below. it is the one on top where you can read the F and R mark
