Hi guys,
I'm putting renthals on my SV, but am obviously going to need longer cables as my SV is currently an S. Where can I get longer cables from? |

Wemoto, get ones for the naked SV, but you might not need them,if you reroute the clutch & throttle carefully.
On my Curvy, it was easier using the longer naked SV cables

Hi,
The clutch cable is a standard type so you should be able to get a longer one from anywhere, I personally use ebay a lot. As for the throttle cable I'd expect that to be a bit more difficult but it should be a standard type so I'd say the same for that too, look for the same type and ask the seller what the overall length is if it's not stated, hopefully this helps ![]() |

If you need longer switchgear cables pm bibio on here. He sells extensions that plug straight in.

Hi there, I have Renthals on my S model and huge risers too, for the clutch cable I used one from a DL650 V-Strom, via wemoto.
For the throttle cables, I had them custom made and once I had routed them properly they worked a treat. This was not expensive and was done by my local bike garage. I extended the loom for my switch gear myself, by cutting the wires and splicing in a new section which I then soldered and covered with heat shrink. It took about an hour to do, but once it was all covered with a protective wiring tube, it looked great. You can have a look at my thread on how I did it all if you like, just click here. Good luck and enjoy. ![]() |

So been looking at some longer cable on wemoto and according to them the clutch cable length on the 99 N and the 99 S are different lengths but the choke cable is the same, how can this be?
Clutch Cable 99 SV N = 103cm 99 SV S = 98cm Both Choke Cables are 99cm Thottle Cables 99 SV N A(Pull) = 71cm 99 SV N B(Push) = 75cm 99 SV S A (Pull) = ??? - Can any1 help me out here? 99 SV S B (Push) = ??? - Can any1 help me out here? Cheers, Si |
