ive had to tention up my chain again today,
ive had the bike about 3 months, when i got it . it had half of its life yet and it was the standard chain (already had 16000 miles on it ) had never seen rain til i got my grubby hands on it. do you recon that its the lube im using thats causing it to wear so quick ? i lube it every week and after its been raining. its a gold spray on wax - seems pretty dry alot of the time - not wet and oily that im used to - i presumed this was the fact that it was wet. any recommendations for lube ? |

sure you're not adjusting it too tight?
![]() It'll put a huge load into the chain if it goes tight when the suspension compresses. get someone heavy (or 2 people) to sit on it and then check how slack the chain is. |

Remember to adjust it at the worst tight spot (even if it's only slight).
