Default Renegade Airkit - Cleaning.....

Right well the filter part of my airkit needs cleaning... I've got some k&n filter cleaner and oil....

I know how to use the cleaner part on the filter but do I need to use the oil too ? the instructions only show a car k&n filter so I don't know whether to use it and if so on what part of the filter?

Any advice.... and don't laugh

Ian dude.

Take the filter off, spray it with cleaner, let it soak for about 5 mins, then hose from the underside out. Allow to dry fully. Re attach the filter to the bike, then apply oil. Job done. Use your noddle as to how much oil to apply.

The Rene one is very lightly oiled, though. I'd just give Jorge a call, if anyone'll know he will.

To apply the oil, I think you're better off doing it off the bike. Spray or pour the oil on, then squeeze the filter in your hand. This gets the oil in the filter, and any excess will drip out.

Done it and along with the tank risers i've fitted its running much better, and the induction noise, WOW...

Just need to get an aftermarket can on again to get it running back to normal tho as still losing power
