Depends on the year and how bad the damage is - assuming it is pre K3, I would think somewhere between £1500 and £2000 - depends on whether you are buying or selling

2000 K1 and I'm buying, not selling.

Damage is just a small scratch on seat fairing from what I can see.

Extras; twin headlights (don't like them really) and looks like renthal gold bars on there too (nice!)

Renthals sound good - check for wheelie abuse (wheel bearings / head bearings etc) and bid them a cheeky £1500.

Thanks, I've offered £1500 already and he's accepted.. looking to knock down to £1400 due to scuffs etc, but wanted a second opinion as I didn't want to take the **** with that price, but if it sounds an okay price then I'll see how it goes tomorow!

Wish me luck! Might be an SV owner tomorow

Just had a look on MCN.

Cheapest at the moment is a W plate 4500 miles for £2150 (private) or a T plate 14000m £2199 (dealer)

£1500 seems a good price, but worth trying to get a bit more discount - £100 will pay for a new set of springs for the front / tidying up the rear / a cheap end can etc.

So what is going - the R6 or the 400 (or are you keeping both?)

I don't have either any more.. sold the R6 to buy a KTM 450 Supermoto, sold the WR to buy a car/driving lessons but not going to pass test for a while and need transport now, hence buying the SV I've always liked the SV though, and I love v-twins but can't justify a VTR firestorm for commuting/messing about on so I'm going for this SV.. I think they are nice bikes, never ridden one though so might change my mind if it's crap to ride

Here's my KTM

The SV's are not holdin value. I am finding CB500's from 1997 which are going at the same price (£1500~)!

Even a 1995 Yamaha Virago 250 goes for £1395.

Not sure why this is.
