Has anybody done this before? I think mine is on its way and i was looking at how to remove it. It looks like a right pain in the ar$e to get to the screw holding the one end into the front carb. should i just get a dealer to do it?
Any advice? |

can be awkward to get to... you can always lift the carbs out...
I had help doing mine a month or so ago, took a good half hour or so but fairly easy job really |

did you have to lift your carbs or can it be reached with a long screwdriver? |

For some reason iv always been a bit reluctant to do any thing which means messing with the carbs. Is there any risk of sending them out of ballance by taking them off?

nope, just remember where everything goes.... and when you lift them out put a rag or something over the cylinders so nothing falls in

I've got it written down somewhere in my List of Things to Get Stainless For... If I can find it I'll let you know. It's the same size as either an Oxford or Probolts screen bolt- don't ask me how I know, right, and especially don't ask what my carbs are held together with.
