how guilty would you be feeling if you had asked him for directions?!?
But the guy did read to be a bit silly, no helmet, shorts and tee shirt and racing on a bike he has only owned a few weeks

I'd call that more than "a bit silly"

a lot silly!

He made a choice on what to wear when he went out and knew the consequences of not wearing a helmet or leathers. The lads who saw the accident and the woman whom he hit didn't have a choice and they are the ones who have to live with the consequences. It's them i feel sorry for

agree with couerdelion....

I look at my lid on a 20mph spill and honestly dont understand people who object to wearing them.... nuts....

and likewise its those who saw it and the woman and kids in the car that have my sympathy...

It's potentialyl quite a good cautionary tale... Especially in the US. It's harder to get the licences in Gran Turismo than it is to get a bike license in most states, then you can go out and buy some crazy machine like an SP2 that even a fairly experienced rider would heva to be careful of... Insane, really. Of course, it needs someone to act up in order for it to be a problem.
