Default Where in London for 4k mile service?

My Sv is almost up to 4000 miles, and due for it's service. The previous owner serviced it at DK motorcycles in Stoke, but seeing as I live in London, that's not so convenient.

So does anyone know a reliable place for a service (not fussed about it being a Suzuki dealership). I live in NW10 (nearish to Wembley), but work over in the east end (near Whitechapel).

I've noticed that Bandit Bikes (in Whitechapel) do a lot of the city couriers, plus I wouldn't need a replacement bike on the day of the service because it's right by where I work, but I don't have any information on how good they are.

I'm reckoning that the service should cost me around £150. Is that about right?

Any advice appreciated (apart from telling me to do it myself - my tool kit consists of one very large hammer )

Call Rob at Berrington Smith Motorcycles 07734 915536 or 0208 567 8432. He's in Hanwell and looks after a number of users bikes. He's good value and you get a personal service.

Tell him Steve told you call, he'll see you alright.

What a top bloke!

For anyone else looking for a mechanic in North/West London (i.e. anyone as allergic to a spanner as me), I would heartily recommend this man.

Rob did my service (for about £20 less than friends thought it would cost), checked numerous other things I was concerned about (without, as far as I can tell, charging for the extra work), and then offered to adjust my chain whenever it needs doing, as long as I can drop the bike by the shop and hang around for 10 mins!

For a v.lazy, rather girly bike owner......that's an offer too good to miss

Top man - thanks Steve for the recommendation (I did mention him to you....so you may be able to haggle an extra discount)

Never let your undercarriage be seen in public.
