Default A horn and a rectifier

Horn, rather sadly, appears to have died. Please don't send flowers, but if you have a spare one for a curvy, I could give it a lovely home.

Also if you happen to have a spare reg/rec kicking around, I could give it a good home too, since mine appears to be sick (having to charge bike up every few days is now getting dull).

A chance to make a bit of cash off of some spare bits maybe? Or a trade for a pointy shock (virtually brand new)/CDI unit for curvy or anything else I have kicking around. If not, I'll head to a breakers for some bits.

Cheers,

MT

I might have a horn... Or I might have thrown it in the bin. Seems like an ideal otpportunity to upgrade? Pair of FIAMMs or a Stebel Magnum from Halfords are both under £20...

Reg/rec... I have an unreliable one, that works until you least expect it to fail then strands you. If you're desperate, like

Ah, if it fits might not be a bad idea....although if you find it and it works I could be tempted (being poor).

Mine is reliable at the moment, just not particularly good at keeping the battery charged.

Any other offers?

Hmm, yep, not sure what's worse, one that works perfectly 95% of the time and not at all the other 5%, or one that works reliably badly all the time

The horns do seem a weak spot. Mine went awol at about 10,000 miles. Fitted one off my old 88 Honda Bros 400, just to keep me legal. 2years and 35,000 miles it's still there and working. Louder too than that embarrassing squeaky Suzy effort.

yep, i changed my horn as well before it was like roadrunner'beep-beep' now its a proper 'scare the **** out of people who are walking close to the bike 'much btr.my original horn was still ok when i replaced it ,more of an upgrade really but i heard fiamm's on another bike and that was it .well worth the money (£20)and an almost essential upgrade
