Default You know that lovely red K5 of mine......

I dumped it down the A312 this evening

Really strange, but the throttle seemed to stick, the traffic ahead had stopped, and while I was trying to brake the front locked and the bike went down with a bang. Amazingly the wide renthals seemed to have protected the rad, but the front is a mess, as I hit the back of a VW Golf.

Rob Berrington Smith came out and picked up the bike and took it back to his workshop (he's a great bloke!). The headlamp, clocks and plastics are shot, the loom is damaged, and the forks won't turn to the left.

I'll know more when I look at it tomorrow. I'm OK, landed on my backside and rolled over onto my right shoulder (which is now stiffening up) but I'm not hurt, even my jacket is fine, but my old leather pants have just about had it know, thats 3 tumbles they've been in.

I'll up date you all when I get more news tomorrow.

Time for bed me thinks......

Good to hear that you are ok.

Hope you get things sorted as quickly and cheaply as possible.

throttle sticking unfortunatly been there frayed throttle cable when I first got the triple, lets just say an "emotional" moment.

Glad you didn't come to any great harm though, sounds like it's a few bobs worth of damage, still at the end of the day it's only metal.

Oh, and Steve, little tip, you don't bounce well as the years advance

Cheers Mark.
