Default Your dumbest Ebay purchase to date

Come on, everyone gets the urge when they see an object they really must own.

You bid, you wait hoping no-one else has noticed this great item. Everyone else avoids it like the plague, you panic and pray for someone to snipe you. You win, you pay, you wait, you open the 7 times re-used Jiffy envelope to reveal.......tat.

Mine, an ex-Eddie Irvine Jaguar F1 wheelnut in red anodised titanium. With genuine crossed threads! It's engineering porn all the same.*

*ok, I'm trying to justify the £14!

I don't think anything I've bought was out and out stupid, but I did buy 6 packs of trading cards from the States for $7 and ended up paying £10 for postage and £7 for a US bank draft Before Paypal, that was.

And I bought a guitar that was a heap, and missed all the signs in the auction because I'd convinced myself it was a good buy- but I saved that one, and nowI love the guitar, so it kind of worked out.

Just waiting to see if the T in the Park tickets I bought on Ebay ever turn up though.

Possibly, however some of us have bought sensibly, and carefully, and most importantly when we need something, not just aimless 'ooh look at that' browsing.

I've got a number of otherwise difficult to find Olympus OM bits and pieces from Ebay, and I've never had a duff result.
