Anyone got a Garmin Quest 2?

Getting a GPS system for the bike (and car), Garmin got top 3 places in Ride's recent survey so its going to be a Garmin. Girlfriend has approved the purchase so its just a matter of which one. The Quest 2 looks the best, its small and battery powered making it perfect for the bike. But I've seen reviews for it on US sites (well, amazon.com) which says it is slow, slow to update the screen, slow to recalculate if you need to take a detour. Thats no good to me. I emailed Garmin UK and they said:

Now there has been issues with people not being happy with processor speed of the unit. It is coming down to the increased amount of data it has in the unit and people aren't liking it compared to the quest 1. There has been software updates to tackle this problem but still some people are not liking it. Some people will some won't agree that the unit is a good one but it is a matter of opinion. Coming from a biker i still think it is good to use on a bike.

Nice of them to be honest about the performance, but doesn't totally answer my question. If I was in the US I could buy one, try it and send it back, being in the UK no online shop will take something back once you've switched it on....

So has anyone tried a Quest 2, are they any good?
