Default Godammed Rear Hugger woes!

Got mesel' a rear hugger, hooray.

Got all these tools but can I remove the small mud flap thingy at the back? Can I heck.

Tried everything. ~Except swearing & kicking it.

Think I'll try that now....grr....

Meant to be hosting a bbq today & here I am at the office (they've got the tools).

Someone else is touching my bbq & making fire....that's MY JOB....Argh!

Pointy or curvy? I had the same problem with my curvy. Can't remember if it was an allen bolt or a screw...but it was a ******* to get at. I had the rear wheel off at the time so I just took the angle grinder to it and cut most of the plastic away. I was fitting a new hugger too so I wasn't worried about what I did to the original plastic. Good luck with it!

curvey. Thinking of cutting the flap off...but gotta go feed the 500o now & I'm not happy!

Make take it to a bike shop on Monday - maybe someone will have better tools than me - it's a 10mm nut that's a booger to get out.

Ah yes, that's right. Can't get the socket down the wee channel. Yeah if you're not worried about keeping the flap I'd just cut it up if you have the means to do it. Wish we had the weather for a BBQ. Wet and windy in July. Gotta love British weather.

Should be able to undo bolt. Soak it overnight with 3in 1. Get a 1/4 inch socket set with the money you'll save on getting a shop to do it. Also you may need that bolt hole for a hugger bolt. I do on my Red Fox.

I've got the old plastic flap in the loft if you want it BILLY.
