How do you 'clean' the disc and why?

Morning all.
It's not a bad idea to clean all the holes in the discs regularly, as they tend to become clogged with brake dust. EBC HH are excellent pads! EBC recommend that you don't use them on the rear unless you have them fitted to the front as they say it avoids brake imbalance. Although in practise, you can. I reckon they're just covering themselves in the event of someone dropping it, and then claiming it was somehow their fault. A sign of the these litigious times sadly! Cheers. |

clean the discs using some scotch brite, this removes any old pad sticking to the disc and gives a clean surface for teh new oads to bed to.
