Default Possibly daft insurance question...bike values

When renewing insurance do you work out the current bike value or do you put down what you paid new or current list price (2 year old bike)?

I believe it's what it would cost to replace the bike with a comparable model, including the cost of any mods made to the bike, as long as you have declared the mods.

I tend to go with agreed value on all my bikes that way you don't get any hassle if you need to claim.

Cheers Mark.

I go for what I think its worth, plus a bit extra, it increases the cost of the insurance slightly, but can mean getting closer to what the bikes actually worth if you have an accident.

quite common with older bikes, a couple of my bikes don't have a replacement value
, either to modified or to old, each has a value agree between me and the insurance if it's written off, also have an agreement to replace modded stuff with standard, if damaged.

Cheers Mark.
