Default Rear brake caliper

Im getting it looked at but just wanted to see if anyone had this problem as well.

Changed seals in rear caliper at the weekend. Put it all back, bleed it and alls good when applying normal to light pressure on the rear pedal. Put heavy pressure, so imitating hard braking, the claiper locks to the disc.

All stuff like clean pistons, as in shiney, no scores/marks, clean unmarked bores, etc are all present and correct. Release bleed nipples and it doesnt release, so not hydraulic lock. Pistons move in and out freely and not sticking.

Very very fustraiting indeed.

Are the pistons retracting, but the pads sticking to the disc or are the pistons not retracting?

Have you cleaned the disc? Are the pad retaining pins clean and in good condition?

Possably could be air in the line/caliper and because of this its not retracting the pistons then you let off the brake. Did you push the pistons back before you blead the brake?

Yes. Done all the normal stuff. The pins, disc, pads etc are all clean and greased. The pisons as i said, flow back and forth as you press them in. They slide in an out freely. Just when you whack the rear brake on hard, it locks. Squid is going to have a look, just wanted to know if anyone else had experienced it and if so what was it

ive had something similar on my fronts,

traced it down to a small bit of air in the master cyclinder,

only did it under hard braking,

the heat was causing the little bit of air to expand, and only slowly releasing, as it cooled down.

Did you put the pads in the way they came out?

I once cleaned mine and had a similar problem, swapped the pads around and it was fine
