Front wheel removal - SV650.org

Can anyone give me pointers for the best way to support the front section of my 02 half faired sv as I have to remove the front wheel to replace the rotor/seal on the speedo.

Front paddock stand...or get someone whos pretty strong that can pull the bike up on to the side stand lifting the front wheel off the ground.

Wher abouts in london are you based?

You really need a rear paddock stand then just put a car jack under the front of the engine, but not on the oil filter, tempting as that looks.

A mate pulling the bike up on the side stand is OK for a few mins but your job is gonna take some time I would guess.

I bought a Champion front paddock stand. Under £30.

Ive got an Abba stand and a block of wood if you need a hand.

i used 3 house bricks and a plank of wood.
