Default Plastic tax disc holder stronger than SV swingarm

It's true! My tax disc holder has worn away the swingarm whilst remaining unmarked. So why don't they make the swingarm out of plastic?

But seriously folks, how do I treat this? Other than with a black marker pen...

It's a pointy.

I thought the swingarms were made of plastic

Cover it with a sticker?

Trade up to a curvey?

Why not just use the tax disc to cover it and tighten so it won't do any more damage.

This is yet more evidence that both cars and bikes should be made out of the same plastic they use for doll's heads.

After all - they always seem to manage to survive aeroplane crashes with nothing more than a smear of soot!

Should the tax disc be rubbing on the swing arm? Who fitted it?
