Default 6 points in first 2 years

Before i start, trust me i feel truly stupid for my carelessness, but would really appreciate some advice on minimizing the consequences...
After taking a fixed penalty (3 points and £60 for 37 in a 30) 2 months ago, i just got a NIP for 39mph (same road, different spot, dagnamit). I've only had a full license for 18 months, so another 3 points would mean my license being revoked. I'm coming to accept that this is most likely, has anyone been through this and have any idea what the procedure for re-applying is? From what i've read, i basically would have to re-apply for a provisional, re-do my CBT, theory and full test, at which point i get my license back, complete with my 6 points, this sound about right? Also, i honestly doubt i was doing 39mph, 35 maybe but i dont go down that road with 40 on the speedo (it's a dual carriageway, but possibly the most heavily camera'd part of our city). The camera that must have been the one that saw me that day was a mobile van, parked on the central reservation and monitoring the rear of cars in the other direction, so at the front of my bike. Is it worth my while doing any of:
1: Going to court in the hope i can persuede them to give me something other than points as a penalty?
2: Finding out the form their evidence takes, the only possible way i can see would be them taking the speed from me as i approached, off the front of my bike, then somehow got a shot of the back of my bike from the front of their van, or wrote the number down in a notepad. Is this likely, and if so can dispute the speed or the fact that it was my bike?
3: Anything else anyone can think of, i really would kinda like to avoid re-applying, although i am resigned to it being pretty likely.

i'm no lawyer but with two previous "convictions" for the same offence you'd probably have very little chance in court, might be easier not to get the third ticket?

I'm pretty sure with mobile camera vans rather than fixed cameras there's quite a lot more you can do - more along the lines of requesting the calibration certificates, checking everything was done by the book. But your best bet is to ask on Pepipoo (www.pepipoo.com I think).

Unfortunate, where I live you get a driver awareness course for your first speeding if under 39 in a 30. (Guess who was doing 39). At least that would have saved you the first 3 points.

You need to do everything the Pepipoo site advise, because otherwise you are screwed back to being a learner.

The silly thing was a mate of my lad got done for drink driving 3 months after getting his licence. Did his 12 months and straight back behind the wheel as he had no points. Now who is the more dangerous?. A convicted drink driver or someone who in 2 years has made 2 silly mistakes

From DVLA site..
How the Road Traffic (New Drivers) Act 1995 affects you

If you reach six or more penalty points on your driving licence within two years of passing your first driving test, ie during the probationary period, your driving licence will be revoked. The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA), acting on behalf of the Secretary of State, will automatically revoke your driving licence when notified by a court or fixed penalty office. There is no right of appeal against revocation under the provisions of the act. You may only appeal against the conviction, which led to the revocation of your driving licence through the convicting court.
All valid penalty points will be taken into account when deciding whether six or more points have been accumulated in the two-year probationary period. Penalty points gained prior to the first driving test, which are within the three-year validity period, will also be taken into account. However, these will only come into scope of the Act if you incur further penalty points during the probationary period. Also, penalty points incurred after the probationary period has expired will be taken into account if the offence was committed during the probationary period.

How to regain your full licence

As the Road Traffic (New Drivers) Act 1995 reverts your driving status back to learner, you must follow the same procedures as a first time applicant ie pay the current application fee for a new provisional licence. An exchange fee will also be charged when converting the provisional to full. A full licence cannot be granted to you until you obtain a provisional licence and passed the relevant driving test.
Full entitlement to all categories of vehicle previously held will only be reinstated upon passing a test in any one of the driver's previously held entitlements. A successful test for entitlement to a category of vehicle not previously held will result in a full licence for that category only.

A-Fool...do you have a full car licence which you have held for 2years,if so then the points totted up over the 2 years for your bike licence don't count.
