Leather designers = Cataracts?

What the hell is up with the state of the leathers I'm looking at?!

Got my first leather jacket last year, a brand new Dainese model, nice and understated, mainly black with a little blue and white in a simple stripe pattern. Been keeping an eye on eBay and checking the manufacturer sites just in case I see another one/a 1-pc suit.

Every single thing I have seen is horrendous. They don't look any better than the ones you laugh at when Bike do a retrospective and you see the things they used to wear in the 80s, like German skiing outfits, colour splashed willy-nilly

Dainese, Alpinestars, Wolf, Spidi, Crowtree, Akito, seen them all and, for the most part, they all look identical and have no style at all. Just the same blue/white or red//white over and over again. Time for the designers to make something that looks vaguely stylish or am I getting the wrong end of the stick here and this is what people want (and what everyone seems to wear)?

Mine are quite foul, but were cheap!



At least the colours match the bike and throw overs.
