Default Best paddock stand for a pointy.

Needing to get one. Space in the garage is at a premium wi the wifes big car.

What paddock stands do you all use??
Not really wanting to fit any attachments to the bike.

Thanks.

Depends what you're going to use it for. A cheap cup style paddock stand will hold your bike upright.

Here's the link to their site.

http://www.abbastands.co.uk/product_details.asp?id=1

Basic stand is £89.95 plus SV fitting kit is £5 I think, take 10% off this total and then add delivery cost.

Remember, telephone orders only, you must mention the SV650 forum.

You might also consider this stand from NWS:

http://www.n-w-s.com/stands/

With the handle add-on it is more expensive than the Abba. It works in a similar way. The NWS is more stable and has a back stop which the Abba doesn't have.

The advantage the Abba has though is that you can get an additional kit for about £14.95 that lets you remove the bikes swinging arm for maintenance. Try doing that with a normal paddock stand or an NWS.

Tim.

I've got a cheapo cheap generic one and it's fine for me. I found the cups are fine and in fact can be easier than hooks and bobbins (although I have got the hooks that swing on mine and aren't fixed like the harris stands).

Is the Abba stand suitable for winter storage??
Like the sound of it from the site.
Cheers.
