See here:
http://www.mandp.co.uk/productInfo.aspx?catRef=901728 A great fast road/track tyre for the SV, I absolutely loved them on the bike this year. I'd buy now and stock up for next year, you'll be sad when they've all sold out! |

They've got a good price on the Avon Storms as well, >£30 cheaper than FWR.

How much does it generally cost to get a set of tires fitted? This could work out to be a nice bargain!

It used to cost me 15-20 quid cash at my local National Tyres place for fitting a pair to loose wheels.

any idea how many miles you'd get out of a set?

Lowest I got was 1680 out of a rear, with some trackdays, Nurburgringing and road riding, got up more out of later rears, but was changing tyres ahead of tem wearing out due to far flung track day destinations. The fronts seemed to last better as always, but with the typical triangling and wear on the shoulders. If I still had the SV I would fit these as a summer sporty road and track tyre.
Edit: Some of the roads were of the course yorkshire gravel type, they are quite sensitive to surface finish. Last edited by Tim in Belgium; 10-01-09 at 10:32 PM. |

Cheers for the info Tim. After a lot of indecision have decided to give the new Avon VP2 Sports a go and see if the new dual compound tread will give a decent mileage on my commute but allow more fun in the corners than storms i've been using.

if you liked the z6's you'd maybe like to try the avon storms as well. my current pair, fitted as a replacement to z6's, have just about worn out after about 9000miles. I think they steer a little more quickly and give a bit more grip and feedback than the z6's.
