Default Painted Callipers anyone?

Hello, I was wondering if anyone has had experience of painting there callipers? My brakes are sticking so I through while I’m cleaning them I would paint the callipers, but I’m not sure how they would look, I have looked through the entire picture gallery on the main site but I can only find about 2 bikes with painted callipers. Now I dunno if that’s because you lot recon they look crap or just carnt be arsed to do it? But if any of you have painted callipers could you please post a picture so I can see what they look like.

Many thanks Lee

I sprayed mine with Smootherite. No issues to date only in Satin black, so no need to take phots, sadly.

B*****, I deleted my pic, ran out of space in Uploadit... Sorry!

Mine are part of my fake front end swap- gold calipers and black powdercoated forks Looks really nice IMHO. Hang on...

Not very good detail of course but you get the idea. Think Andrew Charnley's going to post images of his front end refinish as well once he has them.

The Foliatec stuff mentioned in the other thread, got it from Demon Tweeks but Halfords sells it too... It was pretty easy, but to do a good job you'll need to have the calipers off the bike, and spend a little time over it... But it's very tough, resistant to brake fluid and gravel traps alike

Hi, Thanks. Just one last question. Is the paint just the gold colour? Or is it called something else?

I believe it was just "gold". They do a few other colours, maybe 5 or 6 IIRC.
