Default Using Autosol on certain finish's?

Just wondering if anybody could give me any advice on using autosol on certain finish's? I'm going to be using it on my downpipes as I know that's not a problem. However I have this can with the rainbow heat type finish and I was wondering weather it could have any adverse effects??? Many thanks.

If your can has a "rainbow" finish there is a good chance it is titanium. Use Mr Sheen or similar if you are worried. I only use Autosol for getting off tar spots etc. on my Ti exhaust cans. WD40 works a treat for cleaning crud off titanium too. Need to wash can after tho' or crud will stick easy.

Autosol will "cut" through any laquered ( to protect from corrosion )alloy parts ie on the SV frame rails, and make them nearly mirror finished ( like your brake/clutch levers). Ok if you like shiny bits and don't mind regular cleaning and elbow grease.

Yeah, I'll agree with Stramasher. I wouldn't and didn't use autosol on a coloured titanium can. It's slightly abrasive so could probably take the colour off.

I only cleaned my old can with car shampoo and elbow grease. Never tried WD40 but I guess it's fine.

Want a shiny seat? ArmorAll

Makes it slippy as **** though...............although that helps for hanging off and getting your knee down
