Newly installed Fork Oil seals - SV650.org

I just installed two new fork oil seals last week, but both legs seem to weep oil when the forks take a dive. Did I just screw up the installation or what?

Possibly, did mine a while ago and they never weeped afterwards. Did you make sure that the seals are seated properly in the forks before you put it back together. IIRC theres a little grove on the inside of the fork that you need to make sure the seal is flush / below the grove in the fork that the metal clip thing goes into, otherwise I'm guessing that the seal wont fit properly.

Did you clean the forks legs up and remove and mank or dirt that might also have stopped the seal from sitting in the right place.

The retaining clip snapped right into place, everything seemed perfect. I hate me.
