Once on the way to work and once on the the home the bike cut out for no apparent reason then started up fine both times.
1st time was pulling away from lights stationary, it didnt feel like the bike stalled, there was no jerkyness, it just died as i opened the throtle and slipped the clutch. 2nd time I was slowing down to a stop, clutch in to blip engine on down change and somewhere durring the action it died. Got home, checked the oil and all was fine (bike was serveced about 1000 miles/3 months ago) Checked the idel and that was only at 1000rpm, so I nocked that up abit to about 1400rpm. Could this be the problem?? btw: I dont stall all the time ![]() ![]() Anyone got any ideas? Thanks |

Mine does that occasionally. Usually after coming to a halt at a junction after some slightly more "spirited" riding. Tracked it down to the tickover. Wind it up just a bit and you'll be fine. Although you may have a completely different problem and this post could be complete rubbish.

You have identified and cured your own fault already.Idle speed too slow.

yup same thing happend to me, up your idle speed to around 1400 and it should be fine, normally happens when you blip the throttle and drop the clutch right?

Unless you've done something that might have affected the tickover, I'd be a bit narked that the dealer didn't/couldn't set the tickover correctly.

Just to report, idle is now about 1300 rpm and everything is fine. It has also improved gear changes from 1st to 2nd. I was hitting neutral but not anymore. |
