Default How could someone drive off after this?...

I'm amazed somebody could drive off in a sign written car after such a big impact.

Too light a sentence. The car driver should have been made to use a push bike for 3 months.

. No 12 months.

You have to wonder why he drove off, yes accidents happen and as in a company vehicle there is insurance in place.

So drink, drugs? either of these would have got him a 12 month ban, so sentence as if they were the reason.

I hope he also lost his job as a result. I would have sacked him for bringing the company into disrepute.

Why he drove off?
He had no memory of the collision. So I'm going with drugs

Did anyone else think that could have been deliberate? The way the van drove at the bike, then didnt appear to brake even after the impact, then drove straight off?I wonder if there was a thorough police investigation into this,or just a box ticking a+b=easy nick.

ADT alarms by the looks of it. Good advertising for them.

WTF - That looked like it smarted a bit. He looked like a rag doll.
Bit of a joke sentence. A public flogging would have been much more appropriate.

Goes to show that if you are "relaxed" about falling off you usually get away lighter. Mate of mine was rear-ended on push pushbike while riding along. Knew nothing about it until he found himself going through the windscreen of the car. Got away amazingly lightly. Doctors recon chillin' is the best way to hit the ground. Will need to remember that the next time I have an unplanned dismount!

As for the ADT driver..... should be used as a speed-bump for a while and see how he likes it.

Should be banned for life. No excuse for driving off like that. The sentence is a total joke as well.
