Hi all,
My first post here. Just passed my test yesterday and went out and bought a W reg SV650S with 5100 miles on the clock. Looks in great nick, can't wait to pick it up tomorrow. My previous little 125 had a centre stand so I never needed a paddock stand to oil the chain etc. Now I need one. Been looking on the bay but not sure which one to get, can anyone recommend one to me please. Would also be interested in any other tips etc owning an SV. Cheers Lee |

definitely spend some money on one and get an oxford with the bobbins & hooks. I have a cheapie front one from a show and theyre pretty poor. The Oxford ones are much better

OR if you are looking for good long term investment get a NWS or ABBA stand. Yes they are ?100, but they are miles better than a paddock stand.
As for paddock stands I've got the motrax paddock stand with bobbins & hooks, it's not bad but I do get the feeling it could have been made better. |

When I first got the SV, I got a cheap tat Bike-it one which served me very well, till it eventually fell to pieces. Now I have an Abba, and a Harris rear stand which is better made than the bike

Mine`s a cheapo one as well.Paid about £25 for it complete with hooks which you normally have to pay extra for.I made spacers for the hooks to keep them in the correct position as they tend to slide in and out abit when locating on the bobbins. It makes it a bit easier to use .Anyway,I`ve used it alot and I`m quite happy with it.
