I have a K5 and the rev counter has stopped working. I havent got myself a Haynes manual yet so just thought i would ask before if you guys knew any likely problems. Cheers,

I know that when the regulator on my curvey had an excess voltage excursion if fried the rev counter, but don't know if the K5 works the same way
Some one will be along soon who does I expect ![]() |

If the bikes still running I would expect it to be a simple electrical contact problem.
Do you have a good set of tight battery connections? Make sure the leads to the battery are fastened tight. Also, if you can get to it find the connector at the back of the rev counter unit itself and give it a good waggle. Also, find the large connector under the seat unit that connects the wiring loom to the ECU box and give that a good waggle too. |
