AA for me, It cover me and not the vehicle, so whatever I'm in they will come and sort it whether I'm the driver or not, could even be a london cab lol.

Extended EU cover was an additional GBP18 for 30 days cover as and when.

I have not had to use it yet but my girlfriend has called them out twice in the past and got good service.

You will need accident recovery as well. AA doesn't do that unless it's attached to your insurance I believe.

I got full euro recovery with my insurance. Might be worth checking with your insurance company.

Just for info, I wouldn't necessarily recommend these but it's what I have....

I have RAC personal cover with one car policy, that covers me for breakdown with any vehicle including bikes in the UK. It only covers the policy vehicle abroad though, so my bike cover is extended for Europe.

I have Bike Gold with my Norwich Union bike policy, and I have 4 bikes on that policy, which is extended to European breakdown for a pretty reasonable cost (?35/year IIRC).

As you say, it needs careful selection to make sure you get what you want/need.

checked with insurance and they don't cover it on my policy. apparently i was asked wheni took it out if i wanted it and it costs loads to add it on now.

went on that NCI online and they seem to be pretty good (85/yr). found devitt with green flag and they are cheaper with euro stuff added (69/yr).

thanks for the help guys.
