Why do you want to? If bike goes down then it'll run for longer than a carbed bike. Without picking up oil.

not only longer, it wont stop as long as the fuel pump can suck the fuel though.

cause the bike is a race bike so didnt really want it ok.if it gose down i will either pick it up ryt away or a marshall.

so no real need for it but i dont really mind much if thers no way for it 2 come off as it dosnt do much/any harm.

also anyone done away with ther key and barrel etc...and wired the bike 2 the switch??? if so is ther much work in it?

The key and barrel is easy enough, on a carbed bike I'd make a new wiring loom altogether, injection is probably harder.

Probalby easiest to get another connector where it attatches to existing loom, wire the main live together via a switch of decent capacity somewhere, add the resistor to the other pair which you'll probably need and ignore the 3rd pair (unless you need parking lights in the pits )

As for getting rid of the TOS, have you tried just jumpering the wires together? I've got no idea how they work though...

How many wires on the sensor, and what colour?

p.s I don't think you should do this, but your bike, your money ... I don't mind helping out with how to do it though

ahh, well if you said that first then the answer would have been diffrent, the TOS is under the front seat, open it up and put somthing in there to stop it working, if its the same as the TL sensor then its just a brass ring on a 'U' bit of metal and contacts on each side, if the ring is jammed away from the contacts it wont work.

the barrel can be taken off but there is a resistor in line that is an undocumented security feature of the SV, without it the bike will not fire up, not sure of the wires or value of resistor

Ask zadar for value of resistor, 100kohm rings a bell but that might as well be a guess...

TSM...
Is it conductive when its upright? Or conductive when it's tipped?

Sounds like either wire being conductive to earth will stop the bike, if that's the case it will run with no sensor there at all. Unless one wire is just there to tell the ECU "hellooo... I'm here..."

See why I dislike EFi.....

Switchgear... saywhat?

Anything will work... just wire it up to suit, don't expect it to fit SV connectors though.
