1st diesel encounter

well i found my first bit of diesel last night. riding back from poole, nice and easy, got forced right round the outside of a roundabout by a car who obviously doesnt understand roundbouts. just as i was turning off the bike seemed to skip sideways and the bars shook, its was dark, and with changing direction/lean i guess i couldnt see it. scared the hell out of me though! guess i was lucky

Indeed... you stayed on the rubber bits.

It's so scary, but the fear is usually after the event and all about what could have happened. Try not to dwell on it. Glad your ok!

i was following my friend, so i had to keep going, which probably helped cos it meant i didnt stop and think about it too much.

+1 u did well to keep upright i wernt so lucky

If your pootling along, you can recover it. The bike slides and you have time to react.

If your pushing it a little for speed and you hit it, no chance, down you go.

just stick as close to the inside as possible
