I know this has been posted a few times, but things change and new products come to market.
Yesterday I lubed the bike with Holts Universal Chain Lube (green snotty stuff apparently anti-fling), but rather than spary it I applied it with a brush. Chain looked nice and well lubed, because I brushed it on I was hoping to avoid chain fling..............how wrong could I have been. The bike I spent hours cleaning yesterday is now covered in slimy gunk. So is there a better non-fling lube or should I just put up and shut up, it is a commuter after all so the chain being lubed is the most important thing? I had a scott oiler on the SV and it worked a treat, but there is nowhere to mount it on the new ride.
How often do you apply it DD? Hows the recovery fella? |

Wurth Dry Lube. We use it on Liz's Duke as it doesnt have a Scotoiler. Doenst fling hardly at all. Give it a try.
Just remember to give the can a good shake before you spray it on the chain.

I use PJ1.
This stuff is super sticky, if you get it on your hands you can feel just how sticky it is. I apply quite alot of it as I'm over cautious with chains after my friends snapped nearlly killing him. I get next to no fling at all. Brilliant stuff and can recommend it.

![]() All bike chains have Orings as far as I'm aware, there would be no point in lubing otherwise ![]()
