Default Can't use my SV in the wet.

Hello,
I have an sv650 k1, when i take the bike out in the wet the spray form the front wheel gets into the front spark plug, and the bike then runs like a 50cc, i have tried new spark plug leeds, fender extender, wd40, so now im out of ideas, CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME ON THIS ONE?????

If a fender extender hasn't sorted it, you'll need to dry it out again, then stick the plug back in & cover in silicon grease.

Could be a problem elsewhere. Check the connections to the coils. Maybe water is getting in there. Crimp em up tight.

You need to make sure the drain hole on the side of the engine is cleaned out and free of dirt. This then stops the plug hole from filling with water.

If it was like mine the front lead and plug were fuchsaid, get a new plug, plug holder and a length of HT lead and change the lot. it wont tell which bit was wrong but at least it will work

3 more different suggestions above. Did you miss them Sami?

Are you sure the plug gets wet or just assume it cos it's running rough?

tried most of those and still gettin wet, the water id gettin in to the front cilinder and givin me loads of grieff

Have you looked inside the plug lead, if thats going hom,e on the contact, Take the plugs out and see if theres a spark and then youll see if the waters shagged the leads

When you've refitted the plug cap on the front plug have you made sure that the rubber grommet is sat down properly in the grove, if its not fitted properly it'll let the wet back in.
