Guys I have been banned for 12 Months for being naughty

I don't want to sell the bike and have only just renewed the insurance.

Does anyone know what the procedure is for this - I don't get any points and would laike to get another NCB year at the end of it even though I am not riding.

You dont have to sell your bike, but you'll need to tell your insurance company.

I expect they'll offer you a policy that covers against fire and theft on the bike whilst your not able to ride due to the ban.

its called "layed up insurance" or something i kept getting offered it a while ago cant remember who did it though

Well I am quite happy to remain on the fully comp insurance as my flat mate will use the bike every now and again when his TL1000S won't start lol.

It is a right pain as I have only just got back on the bike since March last year when I had an accident (bloody cabbies) and ruptured all the ligaments in my left knee (among other things).

Gutted!!

Hope you dont mind me asking, what you get banned for?

It is kind of a collection of things - Mainly SPEED

Lost my license for 3 Months in France for doing 212Kph

Managed to get a mate to bring the bike back on Eurostar and got caught here not long afterwards

English Police got given info from French police and all in all added up to a Ban

Hearing is on Monday - may be able to get it down to 9 Months if I go on some kind of Course.

But it is all my own fault and basically got carried away after being off the bike for so long - I also moved to an SV1000 after the accident from an SV650 - A lot of power there.

I couldn't get any sort of insurance at all not even for theft when I lost my licence (illness) because I didn't have a licence. So I just had to take my chances that it would be safe in the garage.
