Default Why Do Dogs Chase Bikes?

Every time I pass people walking their dogs I notice the dogs go nuts at the bike and try to chase you. Whats that all about? They never chase cars!

One once ran into the road out of nowhere going for the bike, a few seconds later and we would have all been hurt

Loose dogs are a liability on public roads, which is why they should always be on a lead (whilst being walked on a road) in my opinion.

Standard exhaust on the bike but I also have a 300 BHP Prodrive tuned Impreza STI that dogs don't blink an eye at.

Totally agree. You end up watching what the dog is doing rather than the road. Nightmare.

lol Dave the bike is Bambikiller, but Suzy has run into a loose terrier when Im Indoors had her, he won't say if she killed it or not!

I once nearly got taken out one night by a black dog that ran across the road, it was that quick I almost didn't swerve in time to miss it.
Theres a really old dog that lives on the far corner of our road, and in summer it sits outside asleep, but it loves chasing our bikes! It comes alive all of a sudden and runs up the road barking, it doesn't come off the pavement, its just funny cause it must be ancient, I just shout ''arrrrrr shuttttttt upp'' and that usually stops it running out

I have 2 bikes.
The black one is called Dave, which I killed a deer(read sawn in half) on a couple of years back
The yellow one is called Suzy, which used to belong to my other half. He killed a terrier(read sawn in half) on her, when she used to belong to him.
Don't sound confusing to me
