Default Re: SV1000 modifications?

If other thous are anything like mine, take it to someone you trust and get the throttles balanced before you do anytning else. That made a huge difference to mine; it felt about 20% faster and 50% smoother (yea I know made up numbers but it was very noticeable). I have an R6 tube sitting on the desk next to the PC but really can't be bothered to go and fit it.

The guy who had mine before me took it to JHS racing and they fitted a full M4 system and a BMC filter. They said at the time (allegedly) that those are the only mods that make a significant difference without spending HUGE money.

It's still bonkers quick, makes a great noise and to all intents and purposes completely legit on the insurance front which it's not if you go adding un-declared power-commanders.

I once took out a Tuono with a PCIII on it but it felt like the throttle had been replaced with a switch. Perhaps it was set up wrong or perhaps big twins don't suit them.

Let me know how you get on.
