Default Warranty question

Does anyone know if cutting off the origional exhaust and fitting a slip on exhaust voids the origional Suzuki warranty on the SV?

Cheers

Not sure how relevent it is but today I have asked the very same question at my dealers as I am about to take delivery of a new SVK9 as I dont like the huge chrome box. His thought's were that due to Suzuki having now changed the pipe dimensions it NO LONGER entails trimming the pipe to size, Suzuki recognise that customers like to change exhausts as an upgrade and as long as it is one of the more renowned makes there is normally not a problem, however if there has been substantial mechanical modifications made this would be considered to be unreasonable.
If in doubt contact customer services.

techically it would make the warranty invalid, although the majority of dealers would over look this if a warranty claim has no relevance to the exhaust (or the part you wish to alter)

always remove the lambda sensor when fitting an exhaust as they are fragile... there is also a CAT at the cut line, you can either leave this in or take it out.. as for warranty it shouldn't affect it but this depends on the dealer.
