Various questions, can anyone help?

Proper newbie questions! Sorry! Hoping to race in Rookie Series next year.

1. Been reading through the ACU handbook, does the yellow number backing have to be the specified RAL colour? (1003 Matt) I have some other yellow vinyl which would be handy if I can use it.

2. Can I use a curvy front wheel in a pointy, for wets? I have the required spacers...

3. Besides sump plug, filler plug and filter, do I need to lockwire anything else?

4. Engine coolant? What do I use here?

Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks for taking time toread the post!

I can answer number 4 - Water

1. Backgrounds - Depends how strict the scrutineers are, but in 12 years of racing I've never heard of anyone being pulled on the wrong shade of background. Some get warned about having gloss backgrounds (but some scotchbrite soon sorts that out), or tiny numbers.

2. Wheels - I believe it's ok to use wheels from the earlier model. Are you racing at one of the clubs that properly polices the minitwins regs? Best to check with them.

3. Lockwire - you also need to do the coolant drain plug

4. Engine coolant - water, and only water. Coolant is very slippery if it gets puked on the track! Remember to drain it for winter though....
