Default So then, i have just spent 48 hours in hospital

After coming head to bumper with a Nissan Note on the way to work! Wet road, car turning right across my path (Or at least that was his intention) he stopped, i hit the brakes and down i went clouting the car with my head i reckon, or back, not really sure.

Admited to hospital with brusied lungs and a very sore neck/back. No breaks, or fractures, which is good even after all the xrays and CT scans. Scary time of my life, i honeslty thought i had done some real nasty damage.

The bike, well, scuffed R&G, front indicator, and broken rear brake lever, oh and some jobsworth gave it a praking ticket 15 minutes after the accident!

So i need a new lid, a new jacket (Mine was cut off) and to rethink my biking carrer for now.

First accident in how many years dude? Nothing much to rethink in my books, its not like you're a regular crashee mcgee like some.

Glad you're ok above all esle but very disappointed that this thread so far has not mentioned nurses in any way. that bump on the noggin must have done you no good at all

This one scared me though Spidey. I admit it was 6 years ago since the last injured off but this one just has made me think. Maybe just give it a break over winter.

I can understand the attraction of a warm safe and dry car thru winter tho mate, just dont go kicking yourself for some numpty doing what some cagers do and not seeing or hearing a bike approach.

I wont be int he car either, not for commuting, a horrible late, smelly train will be my transport of choice. Its going to take a while for me to save up for a new lid anyway unless the insurance pay out!
