Default SV dead :o(

I am currently awaiting arrival of the AA as my bike died. Riding along about two mins after start up, lost everything and now it won't start, no lights or anything.

Sound expensive? Could it be because I'm a bad person and my bike gets wet a lot?

Thanks

The AA man changed the main fuse which did work. Until I tried to move off then it blew again! Just going to get it recovered now

inspect your wiring something is shorting out, its easy enough to fix once you spend the next 3 months working out which cable it is
Or at least that what it sounds like to me i could be wrong, i normally am.

Thanks everyone. The AA chap mentioned something about wires chafing under the seat nearside being a common issue, so he moved them about, but couldn't see anything exposed. He put another fuse in and it switched on and and stayed running, but there were sparks flying around now and then. I couldn't see exactly where from but literally under the seat. I was only about 150 yards from work so I rode it back there and left it, didn't want to risk the 6 miles home. I'll get it recovered to a garage today and see!

As in it should now be really obvious to me what the problem is?! Or the cause? Call me naive, I can't tell if you're taking the proverbial or not!

Exactly where the sparks were is where it's shorting. So did you see where the sparks were or did they just light up the night sky?
