Default Is this sprocket knackered?

not sure how long i can get away with it like this? dont have much money atm so want to know how long this is safe to use,

looks like the teeth are a bit curved and thin to me

Certainly seen better days, that's for sure.

A new sprocket is under a tenner. Get one from Diamonds in Rugby, then you'll save the postage. I think he does a generic make too, which should be cheaper.



If you are too hard up, then just keep it well lubed and avoid harsh acceleration and braking.That's what I'd do anyway.

is it ok to just change the front sprocket ?

the chain has no tight spots and the rear sprocket seems fine

I always do. A front could wear out 3 times quicker than a rear.

ok then will get a new front just to be on the safe side as i would rather spend £15 and not have to pay out on a new bike because the sprocket snapped
